Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, replacements and chargebacks work for services provided by RAST Consultants (“RAST”), a project of ABCD Ventures. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If a signed Engagement Document contains different terms, the Engagement Document prevails for that service.
1. Overview
RAST provides professional services rather than physical goods. We do not sell downloadable products. Fees, deposits, milestones and any guarantee period are defined in your proposal or Engagement Document. We want you to be satisfied, and we will always try to resolve concerns before any refund is considered.
2. Recruitment and placement
- Retained or deposit fees cover search work already carried out and are generally non-refundable once the search has begun, but are credited against the final placement fee where the Engagement Document says so.
- Success-based fees are payable only when a placement occurs as defined in the Engagement Document.
- Replacement guarantee. If a placed candidate leaves or is dismissed for reasons other than redundancy, restructuring or misconduct on your part within the guarantee period stated in the Engagement Document, we will, at your option and subject to payment of outstanding invoices, either provide a replacement search at no additional professional fee or credit or refund the portion of the fee stated in that document.
3. Staffing and staff augmentation
Fees are invoiced for the period of service delivered. You may end a staffing or augmentation arrangement with the written notice stated in the Engagement Document (or, if none, 14 days). Time and services delivered up to the end of the notice period remain payable. Where a supplied person is unsuitable, notify us promptly and we will work to resolve or replace in line with the Engagement Document.
4. Payroll and HR retainers
Monthly service fees are payable in advance or arrears as stated. You may cancel with 30 days’ written notice (or as stated in your Engagement Document). Fees for the current period are non-refundable once the period’s processing has begun. Payroll funds you transfer for onward payment to employees or authorities are not fees and are returned or applied as instructed.
5. Training, seminars and workshops
- Cancellation by you: more than 14 days before the session: full refund or credit; 7 to 14 days: 50% refund or full credit toward a rescheduled date; fewer than 7 days: no refund, though you may substitute attendees or reschedule once subject to availability.
- Cancellation or rescheduling by us: if we cancel, you may choose a full refund or transfer to another date.
- Custom programmes: design and preparation work already completed is chargeable.
6. Consulting and advisory projects
Fees are tied to the milestones in the Engagement Document. Completed milestones are non-refundable. If we materially fail to deliver an agreed milestone and cannot remedy it within a reasonable period after written notice, we will refund the fee for that undelivered milestone.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
- Email [email protected] with your company name, invoice or reference number and the reason for the request.
- We will acknowledge within 2 business days and may ask for details.
- We will give you our decision within 10 business days.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method or by bank transfer in the original currency, normally within 5 to 10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. Payment-gateway or bank fees are not refundable unless required by law.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the matter quickly. We may provide evidence of the agreement, delivery and communications to your bank or payment provider in response to disputes.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer or local law.
